Management
A point of difference with World Forests is, we are not a registered charity, we are a Forestry, carbon and habitat business with a deep social conscience. We have the freedom to move and act when we need to without being reliant on any government funding, approvals or cut backs. We do not have highly paid CEO,s sitting in tall buildings around the world like many global charities. We do our thing, we grow our forests, we pay our taxes and we work as hard as we can and do as many good deeds as possible - that is the World Forests model. To us, there is an honesty in that.
Here in New Zealand one of the largest and most profitable business's in the country, is in fact a registered charity. They pay zero tax and enjoy all the benefits of being a charitable organisation. Call us old fashioned, but something doesn't sit right with us re that model. However, they do a great job at what they do, so fair enough on that score. Credit to them.
Here at World Forests, our management fee Is capped at 10% for the promotion of our forest projects, so you can rest assured that 90% of your contribution fee goes towards the growing of forests, carbon sinks and habitats, all for the greater good. This is important to note.
We oversee all aspects of the establishment and growing of the forests, from land acquisition, council consents, tree selections, planting, pruning, thinning, inspections and all ongoing management of the land, forests and carbon sinks.
Experience:
We have over 75 years of experience in growing forests – we love trees and the irony of doing something old (Forestry), in a very new way (Global technology makes this possible). We are also surrounded by a very experienced group of forestry contractors, experts, and helpers on the ground.
Our mission:
Our ongoing plan is simple, it's not rocket science, but it's an amazing plan with huge potential for our environment and our economies globally. We are willing to roll up our sleeves and do the spade work, that's what we do.
Our trees, our forests, truly are the lungs of our planet . Planting trees and growing forests, Its always made sense to us and something we will keep doing for as long as we can.
We look forward to having you join the journey with us here at World Forests and becoming what we affectionately call, one of the worlds "Forest People". It's a very special thing.
Social conscience:
World Forests has a deep social conscience an intends to do far more for our communities where possible along this journey. We are looking at partnerships with like minded organisations that hopefully can help not only our planet, but the lives of many people along the way. We will keep you posted on this front.
After all, we are all on this planet together, we are all one people, one species, so lets help each other improve the world we live in.
Becoming a World Forests contributor is simple, and here's an example of the reality of it - Next time you're sitting in a traffic jam in London, or a taxi in New York, or flying around the world on your private jet, you can now say to yourself -
"Well, together with World Forests, I’m helping to grow forests and carbon sinks that sequester a lot of this pollution every day, as well as creating natural habitats for the animals" - tick.
That's got to be a good thing right ?
Thank you in advance to all our new "Forest People".
Welcome to the club.
Kind regards
The World Forests Team
New Zealand.
